Cruising in from Livorno
The train from Livorno to Santa Maria Novella takes between 1 h 15 and 1 h 40. Drop your bags two minutes from the platform, see the city, and ask us for the last safe pick-up time to catch the train back to the ship.
Before you come
Is my luggage really safe?
In Florence and Capri your bag goes into a numbered locker in our own shop, opened and closed only by our staff, who are there from 9:00 to 20:00, with CCTV recording 24/7. At Naples port it goes into a locker, with our attendant beside it and cameras in the terminal. Keep cash, jewellery and passports with you.
What happens if I am late to collect?
Call the shop while it is still open: the number is on your confirmation. Extra time is charged at the normal price list and paid at the counter, with no penalty added on top. What we cannot do is hand a bag back after 20:00, because nobody is in the shop.
Do I need to book in advance?
No. You can walk in whenever a shop is open and, if there is room, we take your bags. Each shop holds about 40, so booking online is how you make sure there is space, especially in the morning and around midday in high season. It takes about a minute.
Where are the shops, and how near the station?
Our nearest Florence shop is at Largo Fratelli Alinari 27, 200 m from Santa Maria Novella station, about two minutes on foot from the Valfonda exit. The second is at Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17R, 230 m away. In Capri we are at Via Parroco Roberto Canale 13/15.
